When I am alone and fallen on my way
With tears, I fight my day,
I hear you say:
“Don’t cry, young man! Get up, I tell you!”

When I am sick and feeling weak
Fighting diseases, doctors can’t heal,
I hear you say:
“Son, you are free from your illness!”

When I am paralyzed on my way
That would end only in seeing your face,
I hear you say:
“Courage, my son! Do walk again!”

When I meet with wicked commands
Even though I walk in your path,
I hear you say:
“Deaf and dumb spirit, I order you,
Come out of the boy, and return never again!”

When my eyes are filled with darkness
“Jesus my saviour have pity on me”, I cry,
Then I hear you say:
“What do you want me to do for you?
Your faith has given you the sight!”

When I am out and gone stray from your way
Roaming on my own sweet ways,
I hear you say:
“I do still want, come on my way!”

When given to worldly pleasures
I spend all in vain and leisure,
I hear you say:
“Get up, pick up nothing, and follow me!”

When my spirit is weary and low
And my faith fights to linger around you,
I hear you say:
“What you believe will be done for you!”

When I see your hands and legs
Nailed outstretched for me on the Cross,
I hear you say,
“Stretch out your hands and serve me!”
